PROJECT BASED ROLE: Approx. 2 Month Assignment / Part-time (10 – 20 Hours Weekly, subject to change based on client needs)
We are seeking a talented and experienced Copywriter with a passion for creative direction to join our client’s team. This role will play a pivotal part in their brand refresh, leading discovery meetings, brainstorming brand names, and crafting compelling messaging for various audiences. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of brand identity and a knack for developing engaging copy.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth discovery meetings with key stakeholders to understand the brand’s history, values, and target audience.
- Generate creative and memorable brand name options that align with the brand’s identity and resonate with the target audience.
- Craft compelling messaging across various channels, including website copy, social media content, marketing materials, and advertising campaigns.
- Provide strategic guidance and oversight throughout the brand refresh process, ensuring that the copy aligns with the overall creative vision.
- Work closely with designers, marketers, and other team members to develop cohesive and impactful brand communications.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and best practices in copywriting and branding.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, English, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Copywriter with a focus on creative direction.
- Proven ability to develop strong brand identities and messaging.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of branding principles and strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Portfolio demonstrating successful brand refresh projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Higher Education space
- Experience with brand positioning and messaging development.
- Experience with events
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45 – $55/Hourly (W2). Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
