Our team at Aquent is working with the world’s largest e-commerce platform in their search for a talented Print Production Designer to join their packaging design team in San Francisco for a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have the ability to deliver clean, print-ready artwork following packaging guidelines in a fast-paced production environment. This position requires strong organizational skills, print expertise, adaptive design ability, typesetting skills, and acute attention to detail. The ability to undertake multiple projects and communicate with key stakeholders is essential.

Online portfolio of work for print is REQUIRED.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience in a design/production environment

  • Significant experience with print and/or packaging

  • BA/BS in Design or equivalent (will consider Associate’s with strong industry experience)

  • Excellent Adobe Illustrator and InDesign skills

  • Proficient in Photoshop

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills

  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently

  • Ability to create and maintain scalable solutions

  • Multi-language artwork experience a plus

  • International packaging experience a plus

  • Color correction skills a plus

  • Illustration skills a plus

Responsibilities include:

  • Producing and adapting packaging artwork

  • Creating and editing presentation decks

  • Assisting with soft-proof/hard-proof reviews

  • Coordinating with external production vendor

  • Optimizing digital images and assets for print

  • Helping build and update packaging style guides

  • Completing multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60.20 to $66.89 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
