The MSP Learning Solutions team is looking for an experienced technical writer to create standard operation procedures, troubleshooting guides, and technical manuals for users of automated/robotics technologies during alpha and beta testing. The typical audience is Operations Associates and Maintenance Technicians, with a secondary focus on Operations Leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and project stakeholders to identify learning objectives and performance goals.
- Conduct needs analysis and learning assessments to identify performance gaps and recommend learning solutions.
- Design and develop learning solutions, including technical documentation, job-aids, reference materials, e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, videos, simulations, and other interactive content.
- Design and develop skills-based learning programs that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Evaluate the effectiveness solutions through assessments, feedback, and metrics, and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
- Ensure learning solutions are aligned with the overall learning strategy and business objectives.
- Develop and manage project timelines to ensure timely and successful delivery of learning solutions.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of learning materials.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Graphics/Photo imaging/Video software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Visio, etc.), Articulate 360, Microsoft SharePoint etc. with prior experience in using Learning Management Systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
- Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of learning solutions and making data-driven improvements.
Required Qualification
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality learning solutions.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application in learning design is a plus.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or similar field.
- Experience with Xyleme (LCMS).
- Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications.
- Able to write effective instructional texts and scripts.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a professional and cordial manner through oral, written, and visual communications with others at all levels in the company.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35 to $37. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
