Are you excited about helping customers and ensuring they have a positive experience using tech products and services? If yes, then come join our experienced team of technical writers and help us help others to achieve more! We’re looking for an experienced technical writer to join the Identity and Network Access for IT Administrators content development team. In this position, you’ll work alongside a group of talented content developers who write and publish technical content for Identity and Network Access, one of the most important services for our multi-billion-dollar Security business.

Are you excited when you read well-written technical content that helps you get the job done or gives you exactly the information you need? Are you interested in playing a critical role in helping our customers, who are mostly IT professionals, understand our core foundational security service offerings? If so, here’s the who, where, why, and what.

Who: You’re a technical person who is passionate about technical writing and how important quality documentation is to the customer experience. You’re able to translate technical details into clear, everyday language that our customers can understand. You ask questions. You act as the customer advocate, thinking about what the customer needs to know as a new user, and what they need as they become more advanced. You’re a lifelong learner who understands that there’s always room to improve. You’re collaborative, able to accept and incorporate feedback, and you always keep the end goal in mind — to produce what’s best for the customer.

Where: This is a remote position based in the US. You’ll work with the Entra ID Governance product development team, which is primarily in Redmond, WA, but also distributed globally. You’ll also work with the Identity and Network Access for IT Administrators content development team, which has team members located throughout the US.

Why: This project provides a broad view of our security products and services, as well as an opportunity to help us improve and expand our Entra ID Governance content sets. (Note that Azure Active Directory is being rebranded to Entra ID.) Along with related security features, Entra ID Governance provides organizations with capabilities to ensure that the right people have the right access to the right resources. Your technical content will help IT Administrators quickly and effectively leverage the variety of identity governance features to mitigate access risk while ensuring employee and business partner productivity.

Responsibilities
What:
• You’ll use your technical expertise to write new and update existing content to support our Entra ID Governance suite of features, including Lifecycle Workflows, Entitlement Management, Access Reviews, and Privileged Identity Management. As you create new content, you will verify its accuracy and ensure instructions work as documented, while also ensuring the content is understandable and usable by people with varying degrees of experience with the identity platform.
• You’ll use your writing expertise to make sure articles are clear and concise, and that they comply with the Cloud style guides.
• You’ll help review verbatims and address GitHub issues from customers and make improvements to the documentation to address feedback.
• You’ll review the documentation for any missing or outdated guidance, and you’ll identify articles that need copy editing.
• You’ll use Azure DevOps to create new work items, communicate status, and track your progress.
• You’ll identify content that can benefit from short videos, animations, or illustrations.
