Data IO Assistant/Post Coordinator

Overview

Our global retailer client is looking to bring on a Data IO Assistant/Post Coordinator. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about all things production, both post and live action. You have a strong
attention to detail and understanding of file formats and digital file structure. You have experience on set or in a post-production facility and enjoy working in a creatively driven environment. The role is a junior position where the expectation is for you to facilitate the flow of data both internally in the studio and externally to review partners/collaborators.

**PLEASE NOTE: This role is onsite 5 days a week in the Playa Vista Studio**

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all data transfer from on-set stages including both still photography shoots and live action shoots.
• Organize and manage file structures on a local NAS as well as cloud-based storage solutions.
• Use industry standard tools to create projects on the server as well as manage permissions and user accounts for studio tools.
• Fulfill traditional edit assist responsibilities for freelance editors when needed.
• Shadow studio team members to learn additional skills including on set digital techs, motion designers, retouchers, and editors.
• Consistently deliver great looking imagery across a range of styles; from photo-real CG composited against live action through to stylized fully CG work.
• Log hard drives and the studio management tools to ensure shoot backup drives at catalogued and set aside for storage.
• Act as team player — help ensure smooth operations, a friendly and calm workspace for our teams to be inspired; and a studio experience that leaves our clients and partners wanting more.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of understanding how to process images in Capture One and Adobe fields
• Technical knowledge is a must
• Edit and assist experience 
• Editorial experience is a strong – Nice To Have!
• In studio experience 
• Technically proficient in Capture One, Photoshop, Bridge, and FrameIO.
• Must have strong organizational skills and structure skills
• Creative and solution oriented to identify the end goal and propose a solution to achieve that goal.

Preferred Qualifications:​

• Familiary or experience working as an on set digital tech for photo shoots.
• Experience in the Marketing, Retail or eCommerce industry.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35 to $45 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
