Program Manager - Security and Privacy

As a Program Manager for the Security and Privacy team, you will be responsible for managing the execution of key security and privacy initiatives. You’ll work cross-functionally to drive certification processes, align stakeholders, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure the successful delivery of security programs. In addition, you will play a vital role in drafting technical documents, coordinating working group meetings, and ensuring consistent communication across the team.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  1. Align with key stakeholders to ensure project timelines and program goals are met.
  2. Regularly engage with team members to track progress and troubleshoot challenges.
  3. Monitor and report on KPIs to assess the success and progress of security and privacy programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    • Lead and maintain project plans, timelines, and reporting for certification/validation testing with engineering teams and external labs.
    • Track program progress and performance against OKRs and ensure projects stay on schedule.
    • Drive certification adoption via developer outreach, case studies, and marketing initiatives, ensuring broad engagement.
    • Maintain detailed project documentation, including timelines, risks, and stakeholder management.
    • Organize and lead working group meetings, including agenda setting, active note-taking, and follow-up on deliverables.
  • Standard Organization Participation:
    • Maintain up-to-date reports, technical specifications, and schedules related to key security and privacy initiatives.
    • Coordinate participation in industry consortiums, ensuring compliance with security and privacy standards.
    • Represent the team in standards development discussions and maintain detailed documentation of processes.
  • Technical Writing:
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to draft and update accurate, detailed technical documentation.
    • Edit and enhance existing help content, adhering to corporate style guidelines.
    • Write internal newsletters and external communications with a clear narrative focus on security and privacy updates.
    • Ensure all documentation follows best practices for clarity, conciseness, and privacy compliance.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing complex projects, ideally in a technical or security-focused environment.
  • Strong experience in Communication Management, Governance, Planning, and Stakeholder Management.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, including both business and technical resources.
  • Experience with multiple project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Proficient in Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Sites).

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in security and privacy standards or certification processes.
  • Familiarity with mobile applications or technology products.
  • Experience working with industry standards organizations and leading technical discussions.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50 to $52 hourly. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
