Aquent is partnering with a leading company to identify a skilled Data Analyst. Our client is committed to leveraging data-driven insights to drive strategic decisions and operational improvements. This role is integral to our data team, where you will work alongside data engineers, machine learning experts, and other professionals to create impactful data solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and enhance statistical and predictive models for risk-based quantitative analysis.
  • Apply scientific, data mining, and statistical theory and methods to test hypotheses using structured and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of data engineers, machine learning engineers, and data visualizers to deliver projects.
  • Develop proofs of concept or demonstrations to evaluate the feasibility of project solutions and recommend visualization strategies.
  • Create communication strategies for presenting concepts and results to various levels of management and technical expertise.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain analytics systems, simplifying complex problems into actionable frameworks.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through the analysis of complex datasets.
  • Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets.
  • Generate best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.
  • Assess internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of mathematics principles and concepts, with familiarity in other scientific and engineering disciplines to perform complex statistical analyses.
  • Experience in technical writing in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel, with an aptitude for learning other analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of database design, data mining, and data modeling concepts.
  • Proven ability to develop effective data visualization strategies.
  • Advanced verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills to communicate technical and non-technical information clearly and concisely to all levels of management.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Advanced skills in SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebook/Jupyter Lab, Visual Studio Code, or other languages/frameworks suitable for statistical analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization applications like PowerBI and Plotly.
  • Experience with Agile principles using Azure DevOps or similar systems.
  • Experience working with Cybersecurity Frameworks and related data.

 

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $65 to $70 hourly. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
