Business Systems Analyst - Austin, TX

Coordinates all areas of system testing, including preparation, execution and installation support to assure quality system changes.
Monitors and provides daily production, business and system consultation and support to client base; supports complex systems to assigned client base and identifies, studies and resolves production problems.
Leads major complex projects, estimates plans and project timelines and resources for target implementation schedules.
Organizes, directs and develops all aspects of assigned projects, both technical and business.
Prioritizes and identifies cross application/system enhancements, documents business needs, determines development impacts to current system processing and works with programmers and users to ensure accuracy of enhancements.

Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience. Minimum 4 – 8 years experience.

Must have requirements:
1. BSAs understand requirements and stories to bring to Scrum teams for development
2. We ask the Critical questions to the PO and scrum team members to better understand the functionality, aka ‘The What’
a. We help Document the business functional ‘What’ with PO
b. With UI design we ask tough questions to facilitate an activity level diagram (data modeling, mapping, flows)
1. Regular Pre refinement discussions with PO (& SM) to prepare and finish stories
2. Make sure requirements are clear and testable a. Helps actual refinement go more smoothly
3. Create a Spreadsheet of stories prior to JIRA tickets to facilitate
a. What is needed and categorize (MVP, Post MVP, Fast Follow) adds tags, etc. to transpose into JIRA
1. BSAs should work with PO to keep ahead of the team and sprints
2. Prioritization of work in each sprint
3. 2-3 sprints ahead (in an ideal world)
1. Review backlog, take inventory of work still in Backlog
      a. Clean backlog out of stories no longer needed (archive, separate container)
2. Initiatives/Epics/stories
      a. Work and partner with our PO to document
3. Everything above plays into how a BSA can support PI Planning

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $62.09 to $68.99. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
