Our retail client is seeking a Photo Editor/ Retoucher to join thier team! The ideal candidate should have advanced image editing skills and expertise in photography editing software like Photoshop and Lightroom. They should understand the nuances of saving images for digital and print use. A keen eye for detail and knowledge of composition, color correction, retouching, and image manipulation is essential. Their responsibilities include removing imperfections, blemishes, or distractions while maintaining a natural appearance. They may also adjust lighting, backgrounds, contrast, and color balance to create a consistent atmosphere. Experience with complex tasks such as combining multiple images and using tools like Content Aware Fill and Generative Fill in Photoshop is an asset. The candidate will be responsible for organizing and delivering files, as well as notifying the studio when assets are ready for use. They should be able to manage their schedule independently, attend meetings with internal partners and creative leads, and collaborate closely with art directors, designers, and producers.

Job Responsibilities

Edit and review all studio and on-location photography that is captured and produced in-house.
Ensure visual consistency across imagery for both studio and on-location photography.
Facilitate communication between producer, creatives and program managers to identify and track image edit priorities. This will include assisting with the handling the post-editing workflow of all images with precision and efficiency.
Collaborate with photographers and art directors to understand project goals and requirements.
Comfortable with editing approximately 30-40+ images per day in non-destructive workflow.
Format and enhance all image content following brand-specific guidelines.
Manage and organize large volumes of images efficiently for both digital and print use.
Upload imagery using our internal systems and DAM ensuring that proper meta tagging information is being applied, accurate and current. Example: SKU Number, Style IDs, Colour Codes etc. This will ensure longevity and reusability of images which will lead us to efficient asset management that will reduce are needs to recapture existing imagery if it suitable for the needs of a project.
Responsible for archiving photos and ensuring backups are loaded on company system and servers.
Colour correct garments and clothing in photos, referencing physical samples when needed.

Job Requirements

5+ year of professional experience in an image retouching, editing and/or photography.
An excellent eye for detail, composition, colour, and lighting. This would include a strong understating of colour correction, composition, and digital retouching techniques.
Must have clear understating of proper image formatting, editing, and enhancing techniques when it comes to images being used for print, signage, packaging, window displays and POP.
Strong knowledge of photo editing software (Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator). Well versed in Adobe Creative Suites considered a plus.
Experience with Capture One in a professional environment considered a plus.
Must have a keen eye for fashion/model photography as well as still life product photography.
Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and efficiency.
Strong time management skills with the proven ability to work under pressure with tight and changing deadlines.
Strong sense of problem-solving skills.
Ability to adapt to changes quickly.
Stay updated on industry trends and photo editing techniques.
Has knowledge of Adobe Firefly and AI Generative Fill.
Can work from RAW files along with vendor provided images that maybe processed.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) is a must.
Proficiency in comfortable working on a MAC Operating System.
Positive and friendly attitude and be a great team player.
Familiarly and comfortable working with WRIKE considered a plus.
Experience working with Figma considered a plus.
Video Editing experience on any level considered a plus.
