Los Angeles (Westside) company is hiring a Presentation Designer on a permanent basis. This role is onsite in Westside of LA 2x per week (Tuesday/Thursday). In this highly collaborative role you will communicate with internal clients and build powerpoint presentations  (approx 60% custom and 40% from pre-existing templates). Candidates with agency or corporate experience working on medium-large design teams are strongly preferred. As are those with direct client communication experience. 

Interview process includes 4 steps: intro call, online skills assessment, onsite interview, and final virtual interview. 

This position is a non-exempt (paid hourly) full-time opportunity with benefits. 

Start date in Spring 2024

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Design and execute PowerPoint pitch books and custom presentations

Apply and update custom template to presentations with consistency and technical formatting

Create company branded and custom charts, graphs, tables, icons and other infographics

Create fully functional custom PowerPoint templates

Photo re-touching and photo manipulation

Logo creation, recreation or vectorization

Design or recreate highly detailed and complex maps (shale, oil, pipelines)

Design print collateral (invitations, signage, and banners) – this is 5-10% of total work

Format Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents

Build and style Word templates

Setup and run mail merges (badges, labels, letters, and cards)

Work with creating, combining, editing, watermarking, redacting and optimizing PDF documents

Redlining documents

Other similar presentation design or document formatting requests

 

EXPERIENCE:

Ability to work independently on a project or collaboratively as a team player and able to integrate with a diverse team with varying opinions and ideas

Expert knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel (non-technical), and Adobe Suite Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator

Strong knowledge and experience designing infographics, financial charts, tables and graphs

Ability to take ideas and think creatively to make professional, aesthetically pleasing layouts while maintaining company identity standards

Ability to work with a job ticketing system, work well under pressure and make quick sound decisions

Professional written and verbal communications skills

Flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within tight deadlines

Research skills – know the places to look and manage time spent efficiently

Strong aptitude to acclimatize and learn quickly
