Corporate Social Responsibility

At Aquent, it's not just about business for us. We are committed to supporting nonprofit organisations, strengthening local communities, and promoting social justice, environmental sustainability, and lifelong learning. All while maintaining the highest ethical standards in our work. Our initiatives and actions include:

  • Giving back: We've raised more than $100,000 in contributions to social justice and humanitarian organizations, including CARE, Solar Sister, Solar Cookers International, and Trickle Up. We've also awarded $135,000 in Designing for Good grants to help bring creative ideas to life for nonprofits. We also encourage our employees to use their unlimited paid time off to volunteer for organizations or causes they feel passionate about.
  • Fostering racial equality: We've taken three concrete steps to support racial equality—educating staff about racial injustice and its historical significance, providing time off for employees to vote in local, state, and national elections, and donating and raising more than $110K for 30 social justice organisations including the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
  • Inclusion and belonging: Aquent is an equal opportunity employer. We believe in an inclusive environment—where different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives are valued—is critical to ensuring everyone can contribute, grow their careers, and thrive. We also believe that diversity goes beyond race and gender. Diversity includes things that are visible and those that are not. It's a person's age, status, ability, neurodiversity, sexual orientation, and so much more. These differences help foster a more progressive workplace. We embrace them all.
  • Climate action: As the first in our industry to become carbon negative, we're dedicated to leaving the world better than we found it. In just a few years, we've installed over 20,000 solar panels, generated more than 1,061 MWh of clean energy, and cut CO2 emissions by 56%.
  • Additional earth-friendly practices: Our operations are paperless wherever possible, including talent handbooks, onboarding documents, surveys, timecard approval, invoices, and online pay statements. We've eliminated single-use products. All staff are encouraged to use, reuse, and recycle equipment and materials wisely.
  • Work experience: Recruiting trainees and interns to provide real-world work experience.
  • Employee Learning Fund: Every employee has access to our unique ‘Life-long Learning Fund' of €6,000 per year after three months of employment which can go towards attendance at industry events, workshops or specialist training. This ensures continual growth — both personal and professional.
  • Company-wide training: Providing internal training on allyship, inclusiveness, mitigating bias, and ethics.
  • Vendors: Using local and ethically responsible suppliers.

Aquent conducts its affairs in accordance with the highest ethical business practices and complies with all applicable laws and regulations worldwide. Therefore, we have an employee Code of Conduct and Business Ethics (the Code), which sets forth legal and ethical standards of conduct for all officers and employees of Aquent.
