AQUENT is partnering with a REALLY AMAZING Client to help them build a UX Team.

This client believes Small Businesses are the heart and soul of what drives our communities and economy forward through their passion and dedication to their work and customers. This isn’t a phony platitude written by their PR dept., they believe it in their souls. Because of this belief, they are hell-bent on reinventing the way Small Businesses build their business.

Their Small Business Design Group is relatively new to this client so they don’t shy away from challenging the status quo of process, policy, and the sacred cows inherent in a lot of institutions.

The role of User Experience Design Lead will contribute to the design of the world’s most intuitive and loved set of integrated products and services for Small Businesses. This initiative is high profile project and its initial launch will be at SouthXSouthwest this spring with your contribution.

The challenge for you — bring a disciplined approach to creativity through a user centered design process — delivering world-class products to their customers. This is a company waking up to the power of Design — you’ll be one of the lead “ice breakers” showing the way forward through customer empathy, prototyping and experimentation.

You’ll report to VP of Experience Design.

-Be a part of one of the largest investments in Design by a company in this industry.
-Create, inspire a Design Driven culture
-Execute against Lean UX principles — quick, iterative, & user centered
-Career defining responsibility and impact upon customer’s lives in an industry normally thought of as “non-customer centric”

As a Lead User Experience Designer
-Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences which balance user needs, business goals, and technological realities across platforms
-Create lightweight prototypes which communicate the intent of initial ideas and concepts with the goal of galvanizing the team toward solving a common outcome for our customer.
-Directly responsible for delivering UI specifications, wireframes and prototypes
-Collaborate effectively with researchers, product management, development, marketing, and other team members
-Use facilitative leadership skills to drive to the best outcome for stakeholders, resulting in others learning from you, and inspiring others to want to work with you

What you bring:
-Previous experience in working through discovery research, synthesis, ideation, design, and testing of new product concepts
-A strategic lens within projects that includes consideration of the overarching customer experience, strategic frameworks, product portfolio, roadmap, etc
-A generative work style. You are able to prototype rapidly in multiple mediums and levels of interactivity. (physical, digital, low and hi-fidelity, tangible and conceptual)
-The ability to translate insight and strategy into concept prototypes and communicate your vision through your artifacts
-A strength in using storytelling to share your discoveries, influence stakeholders and create energy around an idea or an initiative
