Social Media Analyst

The role of the Social Analyst is to provide the America Digital team with actionable social insights and consistent reporting across all Sport Performance categories. This person will champion the presentation of complex analytics in an understandable and compelling manner, proving each Sport Performance category with actionable insights that align with each categories goals and the overarching American Digital Strategy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social media and be comfortable creating data-driven reports on an ongoing basis. This person must have superb attention to detail, excellent written communication skills and passion for sports.

Key Accountabilities:

• Track, prepare and publish regular analysis on key digital/social performance indicators

• Establish reporting mechanisms and dashboards that clearly communicate progress and effectiveness of tracked entities and activities

• Leverage social listening tools to provide direction to marketing managers, demand generation specialists and executive leadership

• Help to identify novel and cutting edge, relevant applications for social media program measurement and bring those applications to the forefront for consideration

• Work with Digital Strategy Sr. Manager, Social Media Manager and Category Leads to provide analysis of social landscape and consistent reporting against Brand and Campaign KPIs

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to implement social media campaign tracking and reporting

• Partner with Global Analytics counterparts to understand Global requirements and KPIs and ensure they are being met in the U.S. market

• Researches, interviews, writes/ edits/ updates reports for team about trends, issues and opportunities in measurement trends and technology

• Demonstrate knowledge of Sysosmos, Social Bakers and Buddy Media

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent Project Management skills, able to tackle multiple projects at one

• Able to effectively present ideas to large groups

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A solid understanding of analytics, measuring and interpreting data

• Experience measuring and monitoring social media and creating business insight for how these analytics can be applied to marketing strategies

• An understanding of how quantitative and qualitative metrics apply in the social space

• Strong critical thinking skills, writing skills, communication skills, consulting skills, and ability to work within a team

• Knowledge of advanced social media analysis tools required; Sysosmos, Social Bakers, Simply Measured and Buddy Media is strongly preferred

• Experience using social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.

• Demonstrated ability to create analyses that move beyond an explanation of ‘what happened’ to ‘why it happened’ and ‘what should be done’

Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience):

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university

• Minimum of two years of experience in analytics, digital or social media
