Project Manager with an exciting client

The project manager will work alongside User Experience, business, and engineering stakeholders to help meet business objectives, support the brand and provide an intuitive, informative and outstanding user experience.


Project /Practice Management
• Manages project estimates, scope, resources and timelines, and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Creates detailed project work plans and assign tasks to team members.
• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope.
• Facilitates, tracks and monitor projects, activities, milestones, timelines and deliverables
• Ensures that all project-related tasks have been performed
• Effectively applies UE methodology and enforces project standards.
• Coordinates UE deliverable reviews, internally and with external stakeholders.
• Works closely with practice leads and/or managers to ensure a high level of quality.
• Forecasts upcoming project work by resource and hours.
• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and archived appropriately.


• Schedules and facilitates User Experience team and Online Business Unit (OBU) project meetings effectively.
• Holds regular status meetings with project team.
• Keeps project team well informed of changes within the project
• Effectively communicates relevant project information to OBU colleagues.
• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

User Experience
• Identifies UE opportunities and risks as they relate to a specific project; serves as UE champion within OBU, and internally works with UE leads to ensure proper UE design best practices are implemented.
• Knowledge of human factors and usability elements of web design and development
• Strong and consistent user focus

Technical Understanding
• General skills in standard project management software such as MS Project, along with strong experience with other common project management software (Basecamp, time-keeping, excel, Word, Outlook.)
• Possesses general understanding in the areas of website development, user experience, interactive design and development, and e-commerce.
• Possesses general understanding of Online Business Unit engineering environments.
• Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on projects.

• Leads project teams and individual members to achieve project goals per the project plan.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
• Remains on the forefront of emerging web, user experience and e-commerce industry practices.

• Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.
• Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential.
• Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner.
• Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.
• Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.

• Establishes relationships with colleagues in business and engineering.
• Understands (and consistently seeks to improve knowledge of) overall business/marketing goals for assigned projects
• Communicates effectively with colleagues to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.

Team Member/Resource Development
• Participates in effective performance evaluations
• Seeks and participates in development opportunities above and beyond training required by job description
• Trains other team members and colleagues through both formal and informal training programs.

Internal Operations
• Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
• Reviews the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate.
• Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.
