jQuery Developer

Our client, the fastest growing personal computer and technology company, is looking for a top notch front end developer to join their team on a long term contract basis.

This position is a pivotal part of the eCommerce Merchandising and Development team.

Desired candidates should possess the following skills:
• Looking for a jQuery/javascript expert, well-versed in manipulating the DOM in order to target sections of the site for testing.
• Must also be proficient in HTML, XML, JavaScript, JSP, Dreamweaver.
• Must possess strong CSS2 knowledge and skills, as well as some CSS3 manipulation.
• Experience with Interwoven Teamsite template development (using XML/XSL techniques) is a plus.
• Experience with Photoshop, Flash, ActionScript 2.0, ActionScript 3.0 is a plus.
• Ability to clearly and professionally communicate visual solutions to support promotional eCommerce strategies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current web design trends and techniques.
• Demonstrate strong typographic skills and a keen sense for color and composition.
• Possess a positive attitude and high standards for creative executions.

Job responsibilities:
• Code and advise the test & target metrics, primarily with jQuery
• Attend several test & target meetings per week to advise on the feasibility of tests and brainstorming.
• Develop landing pages for online promotions, products and programs.
• Create templates for landing pages using local content management system.
• Develop interactive Flash pages that will engage eCommerce customers to drive revenue and profit objectives.
• Assist with integration of new site functionality by participating in meetings, developing and testing relevant functions/pages/templates.
• Work with eCommerce platform provider on ways to implement new functionality within new release cycles and ad-hoc.
• Attend relevant meetings and webinars for industry best practices.
• Implement page updates/changes based on metrics/analytics and new optimization plans.

• This is a long term, W-2 contract position
• This position is not eligible for telecommute or offsite work
