eLearning Multimedia Specialist

eLearning Multimedia Specialist is responsible for the creation and/or acquisition, metatagging, and managing of rights and permissions for graphical and media elements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research, locate, and acquire images, videos, and multimedia for possible use in eLearning content or as examples of media we want to reproduce
• Edit Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator images
• Assist in the design and layout of interactive e-books
• Maintain and enhance catalogue of potential media resources, including metadata and copyright/licensing information
• Assist eLearning Development Team to develop ideas for interactive simulations
• Create storyboards for simulations and animations, enhancing GUI and intuitive navigation and interfaces with the assistance of the Director of e-Learning Production in coordination with end-user feedback
• Source and license media found on the web, in books/journals and on television
• Draft materials releases, usage agreements and vendor contracts
• Work with contract multimedia providers to ensure that they are producing materials that accurately represent requested deliverables.
• Research and assist with the negotiation of fees with potential multimedia vendors and contractors for customized media services including: graphic artists, illustrators, photographers, audio Recordists/Engineers/ Narrators


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No internal supervisory skills or direct reports, but in assisting with the external negotiation and project management to supervise external third-party multimedia providers.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
BA in Graphic Design, Media Arts, Multimedia Design, or Instructional Design;
MA/MS preferred
