A global beauty/skincare brand is looking for a Digital Designer with an extensive background in designing eCommerce sites/store experiences. This Designer will work with the Digital Marketing and eCommerce Team to design, create, and optimize new web-based customer experiences, graphical elements, emails, and applications for desktop and mobile site. The team would ideally like to bring on a digital designer who has experience in HTML/CSS, or at least an understanding of HTML code and e-mail/online HTML coding best practices enough to design with optimum code rendering in mind. Job Requirements: - Minimum 4-7+ years of experience in digital design for eCommerce brands. Beauty, skincare or consumer goods experience is a plus. - A strong online portfolio that balances eCommerce and luxury, displaying user-centered design. - A bottom line approach to design to ensure efficiency is evaluated, compared and improved with both a creative and a numerical approach. - Bachelor’s degree in graphic design. - Deep knowledge of current web design trends and techniques. - UX Design experience - understanding of user flow and how visual design plays into the user experience. - Strong experience in email / online marketing campaigns and site-enhancement initiatives. - Ability to convey a luxury creative aesthetic, while adhering to web usability best practices. - Experience/strong understanding in HTML/CSS coding for emails and online banners. - Mobile / tablet design experience. - Knowledge of digital imaging and illustration with Adobe creative suite. - Ability to work in a team and to communicate clearly. - Ability to adapt to fast-paced work environment that can have multiple sources of input.
