eCommerce Project Manager

My client is looking for an eCommerce Project Manager to manage a project to deliver the configuration and delivery of a SalesForce.com app to be used for their Sales and Marketing teams. This project will require the coordination of multiple business teams, which include, Marketing, SalesForce.com, eBusiness, User Experience/Creative Services, as well as two external vendor partners.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide project leadership to coordinate multiple groups in the delivery of a common business deliverable – configuration and deployment of a SalesForce.com iPad app.
• Manage project plan in MS Project on daily basis.
• Follow-up with all team resources on the progress towards completion dates.
• Weekly written project status communication.
• Schedule and chair project review meetings with stakeholders.
• Document business requirements and prioritize with business stakeholders.
• Proactively manage requirements to prevent scope creep. Document future phase requests as required.

Individuals in Project Management are professionals who are responsible for the overall success of a wide range of projects of varying levels of complexity. Project Managers are accountable for project initiation and planning, and for overseeing development, testing, implementation, and closeout. This includes initial project planning efforts such as developing the project scope, defining project guidelines, obtaining business and IT sponsor approvals, and coordinating the resources necessary to successfully complete the project. Once a project is set in motion, the Project Manager is expected to communicate major milestones, identify potential project risks, provide continuing direction to the project team, and conduct regular status meetings to review project activities. Project Management professionals are also responsible for prioritizing procedures for changing scope and project acceptance procedures. Nearing project completion, the Project Manager is expected to obtain feedback to assure that project efforts meet customer expectations for agreed upon schedule, cost and objectives. Members of this family are expected to provide the highest level of expertise in the application of the tools and techniques of the project management discipline. Each level is assumed to have been built on the responsibilities and competencies demonstrated by the previous level.
