eCommerce Insights Market Intelligence Analyst

This person will provide analysis and standardized reports relevant to the business segment. The analyst will also assist the segment leadership in strategic planning by generating insights leading to strategic growth opportunities using best in
class analytics tools as necessary. Candidates must also be able to work with external data providers and be able to gather competitive information necessary for future business strategies. Occasional travel will be required to stay on top of the industry trends, customer visits etc.

Principal Accountabilities:

 Conduct reporting and analytics to support the eCommerce channel at trade and retail including customer segmentation, sales trends, forecasts, rebates and discounts, channel profitability, budgeting, etc.

 Manage the POS data collection from key customers and ensures the data is accurately loaded into the eBusiness cube and reported on a regular basis.

 Anticipate analysis needs of the organization to support the company sales and marketing plan for the online channel.

 Utilize appropriate analytical techniques (statistical methods/market mix modeling).

 Interpret research results, sales information, economic data, and market information to present to stakeholders including executive staff.

 Manage competitive intelligence database across online channel including:

 Identify new markets, growth areas, profit drivers through research, analysis etc, create basic financial models for preliminary business cases, develop customer presentations that continue to exhibit our industry leadership through the use of market data and research.

Education and Experience/Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess a 4-year degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics or Finance, and 3+ years related research and analysis experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous work in eCommerce is a must.
An MBA is preferred, but not required.
Expertise using Microsoft Excel is necessary for successful execution of the position.
Experience with Statistical software (SPSS or SAS) or Microsoft Access is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Incumbent must have demonstrated skill at project management; as well as working cross-functionally.
Strong business acumen and ability draw valuable insights from data is required.
