eCommerce Coordinator - Search Engine Optimization

The Coordinator will drive execution of activities that increase natural search engine traffic to the company website and help the website become the top result in natural search engine listings for key terms. He/she will report to and work with the SEO Senior Analyst to understand and execute the SEO strategy on the website by re-writing product descriptions for key products, re-writing editorial copy (e.g. buyer?s guides), and optimizing meta-tags, product titles, link connections, and any other aspects of the strategy that do not directly involve the collection and creation of product content. He/she will analyze some daily SEO effectiveness metrics and partner with Content Coordinators to ensure the SEO strategy is executed across all aspects of the website.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 75% Executes strategies that increase natural traffic to the company website
  • Works with SEO Senior Analyst to understand and execute SEO strategy for specific categories and the overall website
  • Re-writes product descriptions for key products and editorial copy (e.g. buyer?s guides, educational articles)
  • Performs on-page optimization by developing title tags, meta descriptions, etc. for homepage and category, family & product pages
  • Performs off-page optimization by identifying new backlink opportunities and reviewing existing links for potential modification of text or landing page"

    REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-3 years experience online marketing or copywriting experience
  • MS Suite
  • Experience working with web retailer on Search Engine Optimization and other digital marketing campaigns (e.g. SEM, CSE)
  • Strong familiarity with search engine algorithms, keyword searches, and SEO software tools
  • Knowledge of website taxonomy, site architecture, and related SEO best practices
  • Knowledge of Internet-related technologies, new media, and current web trends including analytics and social media
  • Experience working with content management systems to update website pages
