We are seeking a print copywriter who is skilled in writing headline-driven copy geared towards print ads. This position is a 4 month contract offering full-time hours! Previous print copywriting experience is required as well as experience in short-form copy. In this role, you will support the overall creative team with copy, concepts and proofreading for ads, sales materials and marketing collateral.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
>Collaborate with clients and peers to develop a core message, unique concept, copy points, selling proposition and call to action that fits the overall communication needs of the project and is appropriate for the target audience.
>Research new products and offerings to assist clients in creating the most effective content.
>Coordinate meetings with clients and designers when brainstorming or more direction is needed.
>Present finished material to clients and talks them through the concept, listens for feedback, discusses solutions and gets agreement on next steps.
>Assess existing marketing and sales materials for effectiveness in messaging and makes recommendations for improvements.
>Proofread materials created in the department for grammar, spelling, style and branding accuracy.
>Seek out voiceover talent and facilitates recording and/or audio editing sessions; archives all sound files and paperwork.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
>3­-5 years professional writing experience in marketing and advertising preferred.
>Ability to respond well to coaching and shows initiative in learning.
>Excellent command of language and writing skills specific to advertising and marketing.
>Familiarity with AP style.
