Aquent's client, a telecom giant, is seeking a Writer/Editor for a contract assignment as follows:

Overview: This position is responsible for delivering exceptional content for multiple ongoing projects within the Client's Support Editorial team.

The writer/editor is responsible for online content development for Client Support across all platforms, mobile, tablet and desktop. This encompasses concise, conversational, easily understood, accurate copy providing actionable information for customers. Projects encompass the complete content development lifecycle, from initial concepts, to writing, copy editing, SEO/SSO and final review before publishing.

Responsibilities: Writing and Editing:

* Create user friendly online support content, often originating from highly specific technical operations

* Responsible for ongoing review and content maintenance on Clent's Support sites to identify areas of improvement and drive those to implementation through effective evaluation and communication of the opportunity

* Project Manage the development and ownership of content from concept to implementation, turning requirements into customer focused support content

* Contributes to innovative user interface design, graphics optimization, navigation, site layout and usability design

* Capable of rapidly prototyping and demo'ing planned functionality to executive leadership and other key stakeholders

* Monitor performance/health of applications via Web Reports and other performance tools to quickly identify trouble spots

Qualifications Education:

* Bachelor’s Degree Required

Experience:

* 3-5 years of writing, copy editing and web publishing experience; e-commerce / internet content development experience preferred

* Must possess a thorough understanding of online publishing, requirements definition, deliverables, and its relationship to other phases of the content development life cycle

* An understanding of the Client's self serve portals, or product and services support systems are a plus

* Must possess strong verbal communication skills and outstanding writing skills

* Excellent organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to manage a diverse portfolio of content projects

* Must be a highly disciplined, self-starter with the ability to execute on assignments independently, communicate effectively and exceed business owner expectations on all ongoing deliverables

* Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple/simultaneous, highly complex, cross-functional projects/initiatives

* Highly responsive and proactive, supporting leaders and team

* Proven ability to work and interact with multiple stakeholder groups and agencies / vendors

* Strong capacity to execute in a dynamic environment where creative thinking is required

* Strong Microsoft Office skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint high proficiency required)

* Must be a detail oriented and quick study, passionate about mobile technology and the benefits it provides Client's customers

* Experience with Adobe CQ5 or similar web publishing systems preferred

* HTML, Adobe SiteCatalyst, Wordpress, or similar blog platform skills a plus

* Video production and B2B commerce experience a plus
