Vitamin T is currently in search of a Writer/Editor for our client in Metro Detroit. This is a long term opportunity!

*Corporate Communications is a must.

The winning candidate will conceptualize, write, edit, and produce brochures and other collateral materials, including the biannual Journal.
• Draft press releases and assist with media relations.
• Manage project review workflow, editing and approval process.
• Assist departments with writing and editing projects, as needed.
• Create high-level communications for various constituents.
• Write executive speeches: organize and research topics; draft speeches, presentations, and talking points that convey the College’s mission and strategic messages.

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in English, journalism, or communications.
• A minimum of five years of professional writing experience required including experience with media relations.
• Superior writing, editing, proofreading, and grammar skills required; AP Style knowledge preferred.
• Ability to write persuasive communications required.
• Experience in executive speechwriting preferred.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with track record of meeting deadlines required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment required.
• Intermediate Microsoft Word experience required; PowerPoint skills a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidential information required.
• Occasional coverage of evening/weekend events required.
