Writer: Marketing Communication Specialist

Our large, newly branded, financial services company located in Minneapolis is looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist for a 4+ month contract assignment. Our client is looking for someone to help with the writing and communications as they revamp their broker and employer-targeted marketing collateral this fall. Experience writing in the insurance industry is a huge plus.


- Work closely with marketing, product management and sales personnel to analyze communications requirements and develop clear communication to end users.

- Perform activities involved in the preparation of advertising, sales promotion and publicity to support marketing objectives.

- Coordinate projects and ensure timely completion of tasks and duties.

- Partner with internal functional groups including designers, web analysts, etc. to assure integrated marketing communication activities.

- General marketing support (web content, tradeshow & conference support, etc.)


- BA or BS in business, marketing, communication or related discipline

- 3-5 years marketing and/or communications experience

- 1+ years insurance industry experience preferred

- Strong writing abilities and samples for review

- Strong project management experience

Specific software skills: Microsoft Office – specifically Word; Excel for basic project management tracking; also an internal submission/review software that he/she will need to learn but have job aides for assistance.
