Job Title: Workflow Controller

Salary: £150/day (LTD)

Job Description:
We have a great opportunity with a print solutions company in Welwyn Garden City. We are looking to recruit a Workflow Controller to start as soon as possible to support the team for a 12 week period. Your role will be to support a current client with traditional artwork on existing documents and change of brand.
Job Purpose: Performing a pivotal role between the off-site Account Managers and on-site in-house Artwork Studio , you will accept work into The Studio and plan and allocate the appropriate resource to fulfill the job requirements within the agreed timescales and budgets.
Key Accountabilities:
• Accepting work into the department and capturing all relevant data via The Studio’s collaborative workflow tool / architecture
• Assessment of work requirements in relation to operator skill set and artwork / design process / software, assigning jobs using those skills best suited to the content of the job
• To clearly understand the customer templates and styling requirements (brand architecture)
• Ensuring administrative duties including the recording of data pertaining to the work, i.e. recharging codes, type of document, document deadline and turnaround times
• Ensuring Artworkers / Designers keep to deadlines agreed by monitoring the daily work being produced in the department and re-assigning/splitting jobs where necessary
• Ensure that any possible deviation in delivery time or job specification is communicated to the Account Manager as soon as change occurs
• Ensuring the continued working relationships with Designers (Agencies) and End Users (Customers), to ensure any issues and problems are highlighted and addressed quickly and efficiently
• Deliver data collected from above activity for monthly Management Information reports Candidate Requirements • Excellent organisational skills, this individual will be a motivated and a capable problem solver
• The ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work to strict deadlines
• Able to create estimates and monitor on-going budgets
• Excellent computer skills (PC based for this role) and a good working knowledge of the key Microsoft Office packages – good knowledge of Excel preferred but not essential
• The ability to quickly grasp bespoke software technology (workflow platform)
• Working knowledge of the processes, software and technology that support creative production (design & artwork) with a good knowledge of the Mac environment
• Ability to take direction from Account Management and pose suitable questions with regard to project/work completion from both a planning and executional point of view
• Ability to record appropriate management information relating to day to day activities
