Whole Project Life-Cycle - IT-Business Analyst

Our Energy client in San Ramon, Ca is seeking a Business Analyst with 10+ years’ experience who is a self-starter, quick learner, and a team player.

They are seeking someone who demonstrates strong leadership, communication (verbal and written), and collaboration skills, as well as a deep understanding of business analysis, process modeling, and requirements elicitation. The best candidates will be detail oriented, but possess an ability to work coolly under pressure; have great management skills, and the ability to coordinate efforts and prioritize workloads. Strong facilitation skills and an ability to influence will be key to their success, as much as their analytical skills. A thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and how best to translate them into application and operational requirements is sure to assist this person in their efforts to foster a collaborative working relationship between their team's business partners and technical architects. Success in this role will be driven by a candidate's initiative and diligence in meeting project deadlines.

Job Expectation:
• Responsible for the functional design and architecture of application systems across all technologies and platforms
• Identify alternative’s in context of business opportunity and business processes
• Elicit, document and finalize business requirements (e.g. processes, data, business rules, functions, etc.)
• Constructs program flow charts to describe the processing of data and development of precise steps and processing logic across all platforms.
• Translates user requirements to business processes and data requirements.
• Has strong experience in creating BRD's and FRD's, has led meetings of stakeholders of all levels for system requirements
• Design, implement and execute testing strategies and user acceptance test cases to ensure business requirements are satisfied
• Diagnose complex development and operational problems and provide alternative solutions
• Understand change management and implications of the alternative
• Be engaged throughout the whole project life-cycle, from opportunity through post-install transition, including QA efforts.

Additional Qualifications:
• Ability to manage small projects from requirements to completion
o We have a 24/7/365 operation and when production support request come in, the BA completes initial requirements gathering prior to submitting to the development team
o Can manage multiple activities concurrently (i.e. more than one project at a time) Projects range from small enhancements of $10,000-$25,000 all the way up to multi-million dollar projects.
• Ability to adapt and quickly adjust to Change
• Ability to work with cross- functional teams
• Preferred experience in financials/banking/credit card processing business. Our applications support our retailers credit/debit card processing and settlement.
