Welcome Desk Support / Receptionist

Our client is looking for someone with a strong sense of Customer Service/Administrative Support willing to go the extra mile to be successful and provide a great customer experience!

This role is located in Palo Alto, Long term Contract, must be on-site.

Our client would like someone with strong services oriented experience.


OBJECTIVE:
Be the face, and the point person at the welcome desk, and help customers and staff attending events. Be in charge of all non business related aspects.

Customer area duties: meeting rooms, lunch area and coffee break maintenance and inventory Management. 100% Readiness of the spaces for all our Customer events.

SCOPE:
-Operate the Front Welcome Desk
-Understand the master schedule of meeting requests including all customer/partner requests & marketing events; respond to inquiries
-Develop and deliver concierge services to guests and account teams (hotel and restaurant recommendations/reservations, things to do, transportation, maps, printing); Greet and Escort guests to meeting room or tour
-Set up rooms for meetings and events
-Apply basic knowledge of the job skills, company policies and procedures to complete specialized assignments/tasks in creative and effective ways
-Collaborate with the center staff in supporting customer details, events and other types of meetings
-Provide general operational support of the organization
-Ordering and manage stock of office material

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
-Ideally customer facing experience in marketing & sales/event management
-Team-oriented professional with ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of cross-functional groups
-Customer focused, Services oriented
-Working knowledge of marketing fundamentals and tools
-Understanding of briefing center and briefing management tools
-Good written/oral/interpersonal communications
-Demonstrable knowledge of MS Office suite of tools – Outlook, Word, Excel
-Positive Attitude
-Self-Directed
-Organized
-Foreign language expertise is preferred but not necessary
