Website Content Manager - E-Commerce

Our client, a leading Consumer Electronics company is seeking a savvy Website Content Manager with e-commerce experience to join their digital team in Culver City, CA for a three month assignment (could go longer). This person will be responsible for authoring, testing and publishing marketing and product content for the company's web properties. The ideal candidate will be able to ensure quality results while meeting aggressive turnaround deadlines.

You will be expected to author (publish) and maintain clean, accurate, well-organized, structured content and product data. You are directly responsible for coordinating production processes, executing publishing updates, and maintaining the content and images featured on desktop and mobile experiences. You will play an integral role in supporting and preserving a high quality online experience.

This person must be able to identify and proactively plan to mitigate project risks. The ideal candidate will have equal parts business and technical acumen.

Key Qualifications

• Experience working in enterprise Content Management Systems
• 3+ years of experience working in a web publishing / operations or online business management capacity
• Previous e-commerce production experience
• Comfortable with editing (not developing) HTML and CSS
• Understanding of e-commerce site structure and maintenance
• Thrive in the presence of ambiguity and constant change
• Must work well in the face of aggressive deadlines, while maintaining data integrity and accuracy
• Must be willing and able to accommodate flexible work schedule during critical business periods
• Must exhibit high degree of ownership and accountability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Educated to BA/BS degree, or equivalent

• Experience on a website replatforming project
• Adobe Experience Manager experience
• Adobe Photoshop experience
• Experience working on mobile-optimized web
• JavaScript and HTML5 experience
• Foreign language fluency is a plus

Key Responsibilities
• Author and publish content featured on .com sites, across multiple geos/platforms (for desktop and mobile experiences), using asset and website management tools.
• Day-to-day publishing of image updates, merchandising assets, and campaign pages.
• Manage versioning of content and image assets across multiple languages.
• QA of product information, content, and images displayed on the website.
• Support testing and implementation of new web store features and functionality enhancements.
• Identify and drive ways to improve production processes and quality of assets delivered.
• Proactively QA own work.
• Ensure projects are launched on time and meets initial project requirements. Keep team leaders / stakeholders notified of progress and/or deviation from project schedule (deliverables, milestone dates, resources, etc.).
• Document, maintain, and communicate content delivery schedule
• Create and enhance / maintain publishing process documentation
• Effectively facilitate the review and final sign-off of content; documents feedback and manages changes.
• Stay up to speed on new Publishing tools and feature enhancements to existing systems.


BA or BS degree preferred

Pay: Up to $40/hr. DOE
Project Duration: 3 months, could go longer
