One of our Fortune 500 Financial Services client is looking for a Web Writer/Editor and Social Media Consultant for a 10-month contract.

(50%) Within Web Writing/Editing, the consultant will be responsible for the following:

• Coordinating execution of the Diners Club International blog (BelieveBelong.com) editorial calendar, in close partnership with DCI’s manager of digital marketing & communications, including development of content ideas in line with overall digital strategy.
• Duties may also include developing and/or revising text for other venues, including DinersClub.com website and social media content calendars.
• Writing and/or soliciting stories from business partners.
• Managing the internal approvals process and publishing the post.
• Must demonstrate the ability to write professionally for varied audiences and consistently meet tight deadlines.
• Additionally, the web writer/editor should demonstrate experience and proven results in outreach strategy for online content and for improving SEO of the blog, as well as publishing in WordPress or similar content management systems.

(50%) Within Social Media, the consultant will play the role of Social media community manager, including the following activities:
• Monitoring all of Diners Club social media channels and responding to incoming customer service inquiries
• Engaging with followers, and looking for opportunities to interact with influencers in Diners Club's strategic pillars of dining, travel and entertainment, as well as in the payments services industry.
• Working in Spredfast, a social media management platform, to monitor and approve posts (incoming and outgoing) as well as ensure proper labeling to help categorize conversations for tracking and auditing purposes.
• Assisting with rollout of new social media response and community management process with Diners Club franchises globally.

Key Skills & Qualifications -- The right candidate will have:
• Excellent verbal, written communication and editorial skills, strong attention to detail, and prior blogging/Internet writing experience.
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• High proficiency in WordPress, and social media community management platforms (e.g. Spredfast)
• Knowledge of SEO techniques and experience with key words and metatags is preferred
• The ability to work with cross-functional teams, a knack for research, and ability to get up-to-speed quickly in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in customer service, advertising, public relations or online marketing is preferred.

Notes:
Candidate should provide 3 online writing samples.
Candidates with travel, dining and/or entertainment experience are strongly preferred.
Looking for a mid-level talent (3+ years of experience).
