Come and work for a well respected non profit that is also the world's largest scientific society and one of the leading sources of authoritative scientific information! Immediate contract need (2-3 months) for a Web Strategist/Social Media guru to sit onsite in their Washington, DC office.

Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media strategy that defines how social media marketing techniques will be applied to client's membership recruiting and retention
• Define key performance indicators and implement enterprise level measurement, analytics, and reporting methods to gauge success
• Evaluate email marketing campaigns, recommend areas for improvement to increase open and click through rates
• Examine email and web presence related to membership marketing and identify areas for improvement to increase mobile market penetration

Experience:
• BS/BA degree and 3-5 years experience in advertising, communications, marketing, or public relations
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of graphic design best practices and principles for both print and web projects
• Strong technical background with advanced computer skills
• A solid understanding of ethical search engine optimization techniques
• Demonstrated experience and a passion for the social technology universe (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Foursquare, Flickr, blogs, wikis, RSS, social bookmarking, discussion forums and community software)
• Experience with online monitoring and measurement platforms including but not limited to Omniture, Facebook Insights, YouTube Insights, Google Analytics, HootSuite, TweetDeck, and Social Mention.
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS
o Adobe Design Suite CS4 or CS5 (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash)
