Our Client, A fortune 500 company in Santa Clara is looking for a Web Strategist and program lead!

The Web Strategist will be working with business teams to define and execute high visibility web optimization projects benefitting our client’s website, but driven by overall strategies (company goals, campaigns, go-to-market strategies, key plays, etc.).

Identify project business goals, current pain points and gaps, while leading project discovery with executive stakeholders. Once concept discovery is complete, define and document strategy and business requirement and business use cases. Collaborate with UX and creative team to create wireframes and designs. Validate deliverables and provide executive-level progress updates regularly to stakeholders. Define and develop copy and messaging that align with content marketing, web writing and SEO guidelines. Ensure analytics plan in place for measuring post-launch success.

Also, serve as overall owner and Project Manager lead from start to finish developing and tracking project plans with competency lead input for all project tasks and milestones from concepting and design to production, QA, deployment and launch.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities
• Lead Web Strategy projects, overseeing creation of an intuitive, engaging, brand-compliant Web experience
• Define and execute the stakeholder-facing product Web strategy phase.
• Be the internal champion, promoting the overall website strategy throughout the company.
• Own relationships between the department, Web Marketing, and project stakeholders (Creative, Social Marketing, Brand Marketing, Customer Marketing, Product & Solution Marketing, Integrated/Demand Marketing, Partner/Channel Marketing, Solution marketing managers, Geo leads, etc.).
• Monitor industry trends and recommend new technologies, solutions, and opportunities.
• Leverage web traffic to generate awareness and excitement and convert existing users to passionate internal ambassadors and new visitors to try and buy products and services.
• Ensure a comprehensive multi-channel online experience by working with SEO, Demand Gen, Information Architects and Social Media leads.
• Request and analyze reports and site strategy recommendations to the business on site trends/performance/success metrics.
• Provide guidance to internal teams on web, business and technical issues.
• Ensure Web Strategy project delivery excellence
• Establish and communicate web project milestones
• Ensure wireframe, design and content deliverables are completed on time and meet Strategist expectations, Style Guide rules, standard glossary terminology and CMS componentry standards.
• Ensure all deliverables have been through all appropriate management reviews and approvals.
• Keep project momentum and morale strong, escalating risks and issues to Web Strategy Director for resolution.
• Communicate regular project updates to stakeholders and ensure impact is understood.
• Ensure ongoing editorial calendar/maintenance process for project area is in place for post-launch ongoing success.
• Work with analytics team to ensure tracking process is in place to monitor success metrics and progress.
• Guide the development of a mature Web discipline

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities)
• Strategic thinker
• 8-10+ years of web marketing/web strategy hands-on experience
• 8-10+ years of experience leading large and complex web projects
• A keen detailed eye for design, color and typography
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Experience with handling challenging negotiation discussions gracefully
• Outstanding team player and positive attitude
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively when discussing issues with team members and customers
• A desire to create high concept and beautifully crafted online content
• Solid understanding of digital marketing, web standards, best practices and Web 2.0
• Project and time management excellence for managing multiple projects
• Experience in all facets of web creative direction
• Strong knowledge of the technical aspects of the weband its capabilities
• Business-user level exposure and understanding ofto web technologies (eg.Dreamweaver/or others; HTML,CSS, XHTML, PHP, Java, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, JSP, and XML)

Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, and Experience)
• Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Visual Arts, Graphic Design or related field.
• Graduate degree desirable.
