Our client in Bethesda is looking for a Web Specialist with Ektron and ASP.net to join their team.

The ideal candidate will not be working on content but will be developing and maintaining the website. The candidate must be more tech savvy and MUST know ASP.net and work with EKTRON or a cms that is similar.

Major Responsibilities
• Support the Web Program Manager and act as a reference for all technology based operational aspects of the web environments Serve as a primary point of contact for technical (i.e., non-content) website issues or concerns. Maintain awareness of trends related to the delivery of online content.

• Examine and advocate technological standards, and assist with their implementation.

• Serve as primary administrator of Ektron CMS and related web systems.
o Improve, Revise and Develop new website templates and layouts.
o Develop options and prototypes for discussion.
o Advise the Web Program Manager of advantages and disadvantages of various development approaches and upgrade paths.
o Develop, present and implement new capabilities to the Web Program Manager.
o Develop and update standard operating procedures, maintain training manuals, and deliver training to Ektron Web CMS users when needed. Assist web content producers with use of CMS as needed.
o Manage enterprise search capability and technology.

• Schedule, implement and test changes as needed.

• Troubleshoot and debug existing code in order to enhance the website’s functionality.

• Communicate with web site hosting agencies to address hardware or software issues affecting web sites.

• Develop or implement procedures for ongoing web site revision.

• Serve as a primary point of contact on Avectra’s Netforum xWeb technology

• Provide support for content and navigation management within Avectra's Netforum CMS.

• Knowledgeable and able to assist with data integration and single sign on implementations.

• Research and minimize security threats to the web environment. In co-ordination with the IT department and Web Program Manager, implement and develop plans to ensure data security, accessibility, and integrity. Uses monitoring tools to detect possible intrusions.
