Web Redevelopment Project Manager

This position will be responsible for the ongoing management of a Web Redevelopment Project. The project is delivering new website sections to the higher education website in a phased approach, with phases running concurrently.

The Web Redevelopment Project Manager will be able to plan effectively in advance, liaise with vendors, coordinate project team scheduling and day-to-day management including documentation and reporting to deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.

Key tasks will include
• Manage multiple concurrent phases of the Web Redevelopment Project taking full ownership of ensuring objectives are achieved to timelines and budget
• Manage project plans and team tasks using efficient tools, software and methodologies
• Use experience of different processes to manage projects including Agile to devise an efficient, creative approach to ensure the team delivers to timelines
• Provide day-to-day leadership to internal project team
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with external service providers/vendors including managing vendor selection process, negotiating and creating contracts
• Drive post-implementation processes
• Use technical knowledge of WCMS to oversee implementation including release management
• Use knowledge of web development issues such as usability, accessibility, information architecture and content management to ensure quality of project deliverables

Experience

• Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale digital projects in large and complex organisations creating and managing project plans, task assignments, time estimates and administrative tasks.
• Demonstrated experience working with a number of project management methodologies and work practices in particular Agile, or versions of Agile/Kanban/Wagile/Lean. Qualified Scrum Master an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in content (WCMS) migration projects including an understanding of web technologies and considerations such as usability, accessibility, information architecture and visual design.
• Demonstrated high-level analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation, writing and communication skills.
