Web Project Manager

Primary Duties / Responsibilities
· Manage multiple small to large-scale web projects with varying deadlines; monitor day-to-day activities of each project; responsible to coordinate and complete projects per plan

· Example projects include: front-end design implementation, product launches, product acquisition, online store, promotions and campaigns, system integration, social community, global sites, new technologies.

· Interface with leads for partners, products and customers to understand key objectives and messaging of marketing projects

· Organize and coordinate across multiple functions in the organization, including groups from across the globe

· Work with team to define project tasks, dependencies, estimates, resources and baseline schedules

· Manage internal and external resources; ensure team leads/members understand deliverables and have task lists

· Lead weekly project meetings for status, issues, change control; ensure deadlines are communicated and met

· Document work plans; track progress to schedule and plans; report on key project milestones, project state and team progress weekly; ensure reports and schedules reflect status accurately

· Secure appropriate project buy-in/sign-off throughout life cycle; estimate properly for feedback cycles

· Work with team to recommend solutions and mitigation plans to keep projects on track

· Escalate risks, issues and missed deliverable deadlines appropriately and in a timely manner

· Escalate additional resource or budget needs to management immediately

· Ensure deliverables are completed; seek guidance from leadership to ensure quality of deliverables

· Determine when a scope change is requested or needed, analyze impacts with team, gain decision and track approved changes

· Identify pain points and process improvement areas within current projects and for future projects

· Attend program team meetings and contribute ideas for improvement

· Collaborate and contribute to process improvement and process documentation

· Ensure consistent and professional communication with and between team leaders, team members, management and other project managers
· Encourage team cohesion and teamwork; identify issues that could impact team morale

Qualifications and Requirements
Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities):
· Experience managing multiple small to large-scale projects with varying deadlines is required

· Web /web marketing experience is required

· Experience with demand generation, integrated marketing campaigns, product launches and/or events is expected

· Proven ability to lead teams to successfully deliver on target and with quality while maintaining good relationships with all members and stakeholders

· 5 years of project management experience

· 2-3 years working with marketing teams on traditional and/or online marketing projects

· Ability to understand project goals and ensure they are delivered

· Skilled in time management to facilitate involvement in multiple projects and multi-tasking

· Strong understanding of the lifecycle of web development (discovery, UX, design, development, testing, implementation)
· Understanding of Marketing milestones from business and technical perspectives
· Impeccable attention to detail and follow-up

· Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

· Strong understanding of design production, usability and UX concepts

· Knows when to seek guidance and when to make decisions on their own

· Collaborative team player and positive attitude

· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively when discussing issues with team members, customers and management

· Ability to get things done through existing production processes; help improve existing processes; identify need for new processes; improve efficiencies

· Understanding of web development terminology and tools
· Strong skills in waterfall/rolling wave project management
· Understanding of agile, scrum project management methodologies a plus
· Proficient in MS Project and MS Office

· Wiki, Jira and Clarizen experience a plus

Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, and Experience):
· Bachelor's degree

· CAPM a plus

· PMP a plus
