Web Project Manager

Organization seeks experienced Web Project Manager to play a hands-on role in leading web marketing projects and coordinating with various marketing, information technology, and brand leadership teams. The Web Project Manager will be responsible for project planning, tracking, reporting and management of various web projects from initial concept and strategy through launch. The Web Project Manager will supervise a web designer, web content specialist and freelance talent to make certain that web solutions are deployed on time, with quality, and meet website and/or project objectives. The Web Project Manager will also manage content updates to all company-wide websites through the utilization of the web content specialist. 

The Web Project Manager will work in tandem with UX and tech leads/developers in the Information Technology department. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
• Manage multiple small to large-scale web projects with varying deadlines; monitor day-to-day activities of each project; responsible to coordinate and complete projects per plan. 
• Develop and manage content strategy, content evaluation, site enhancements to support leads and admissions goals of company.
• Develop and execute test strategy to drive engagement with target audience to result in increased leads.
• Implement required set up and tracking of online events and interactive campaigns inclusive of landing pages and integration with CRM system. 
• Work as primary contact with Information Technology department to improve CMS, front-end design parameters and webpage templates to further engage target audiences. 
• Serve as primary interface as member of marketing department to internal customers to address their needs as it relates to their web properties. 
• Work with direct reports to define project work plans, associated tasks, dependencies, resources and baseline schedules. 
• Manage internal and external resources; ensure direct reports understand deliverables and have an understanding of goals and objectives of each project. 
• Lead weekly project meetings for status, issues, change control; ensure deadlines are communicated and met. 
• Document work plans; track progress to schedule and plans; report on key project milestones, project state and team progress weekly and ensure reports reflect status accurately; 
• Ensure consistent and professional communication with and between team leaders, team members, management and other project managers. 
• Encourage team cohesion and teamwork; identify issues that could impact team morale 
• Identify pain points and process improvement areas within current projects and for future projects 


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS 

- Education: (Level, field and professional knowledge) 
• Bachelor's degree
• PMP a plus!
• Responsible, relevant work experience and training beyond the minimum (see below) may be substituted. 
• Course work or prior experience should include emphasis on marketing and business, and web development or web management 

- Experience: (Amount and kind) 
• 5+ years of web project management experience 
• 2+ years working with marketing teams on traditional and/or online marketing projects (**Digital is more important than traditional) 
• Experience managing multiple small to large-scale projects with varying deadlines is required 
• Experience in managing small team of web content and design talent using Scrum or Agile methodologies 
• Experience with demand generation, integrated marketing campaigns, web marketing, product launches and/or events is expected. 
• Extensive understanding of marketing principles from business and technical perspectives. 
• Understanding of web development terminology and tools and project management systems 

- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: (Level of knowledge, measurable skills and talents) 
• Strong understanding of the lifecycle of web development (discovery, design, development, testing, implementation) 
• Strong understanding of design production, usability and UX concepts 
• Demonstrated ability to set and reach goals, manage multiple project details simultaneously, and adhere to strict deadlines. 
• Ability to understand project goals and objectives, translate them into a workplan and ensure they are delivered within timeline provided. 
• Impeccable attention to detail and follow-up. 
• Strong interpersonal, communication skills and collaboration skills are necessary, as is the ability to represent the Department professionally and credibly within the organization
• Self-motivated; goal and service oriented; professional image and demeanor. 
• Ability to get things done through existing production processes; help improve existing processes; identify need for new processes; improve efficiencies. 
• Requires the ability to work with broad parameters and with little supervision 
• Must have experience in developing effective working relationships within both large and small organizational teams
