Web Production Designer

The Web Production Designer will be responsible for designing, layout, coding and modifying website landing pages. This is a full-time, onsite, contract-to-hire role. The Web Production Designer role will require traditional design capabilities, and will be responsible for creating microsites and landing pages; producing mockups/comps and bringing the designs to life; and, performing QA and testing. Much of the role could be production oriented, depending on the project at hand. Further, the Web Production Designer will be responsible for creating and executing any/all web/design activities for assigned projects under the direction of the Marketing Department Director. The Web Production Designer will collaborate with project/product line managers, email marketing team, and other web designers/project managers to provide engaging web-based and promotional assets. Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Create and implement intuitive, functional microsites, landing pages, and other web-based assets • Produce sample sites and mockups, as requested • Design and create any/all artwork that may be needed for the websites or other online marketing initiatives • Responsible for all QA and testing of sites created; including testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility • Assist in monitoring website statistics and analyzing trends, ultimately incorporating website design changes as needed to ensure ease-of-use for customers and higher sales conversions • Use responsive design techniques for web development across multiple platforms • Keep up-to-date with recent technological and software developments • Continue developing skills and expertise in appropriate software/programming languages including HTML, JQuery, Javascript (nice to have!) and others
