Our client is hiring a Web Producer / Project Manager to join their team for a 4-6 month contract. The client is the region's official tourism marketing agency and they are hiring this person for their website redesign project(s)! Onsite in downtown Philadelphia Contract assignment: 4-6 months Full time, 40 hrs/week - Their need is for a project manager who understands UX and front end - ideally someone who has worked on a website redesign project recently. HTML and CSS knowledge is a plus, but this person won't be actually coding. - 30% - 40% time is spent heads down working/individual contributor - 60% - 70% time is spent managing the project Full Job Description: This position is responsible for the overall front-end user experience on their websites. The position is responsible for working with VP’s web vendors and agencies to develop and enhance the websites’ capacity to achieve their digital goals: build image, drive visitation and build the economy. The position is responsible for maintaining and improving the most used templates on their sites to keep up with ever-evolving usage demands on websites in 2017 and beyond. This position reports to the Web Technology Director. Responsibilities include: ● Advance the UX, usability and design aesthetic of their sites (1.2 million monthly uniques) across common devices and browsers. ● Direct and correspond with web vendors/agencies on UX and design enhancements needed on VP websites. Solve design and UX challenges using best practices and modern techniques. ● Manage the execution of UX enhancements on VP websites. Create wireframes and mockups of new UX enhancements when needed. ● Work closely with Web Technology Director to ensure front-end approach is optimized for and aligned with our websites’ infrastructure. ● Work with Web Project Manager to coordinate the execution of website enhancements with vendors and internal team members. ● Work with Web Project Manager to help manage and execute parts of the VP Upgrade Project. Communicate project-related information to both internal Dept. staff and external vendors. ● Test new web developments and enhancements meant for VP websites before they go live. ○ Organize UX QA and compile notes, comments and feedback to be given to vendors. Compile and send feedback and direction to vendor from VP Web staff ● Research UX improvements and design enhancements that could enhance VP websites. Stay current on new tools and trends in web design, UX, development, social media integration and general industry trends. ● Work closely with Digital Content Director to determine a future-facing UX approach for their sites that meshes closely with the websites’ content strategy. ○ Refine the websites’ User Navigation and Information Architecture for 2017 and beyond. Refine and improve the relational constructs between content types within their sites ● Help execute back-end CMS improvements to visitphilly.com and uwishunu.com to enhance how efficiently our editors can manage content, workflow and content relationships. ● Maintain and improve the UX of the VP online pressroom, including the back-end CMS. Help execute an upgrade to the VP online pressroom in 2017. ● Work with VP departments and campaigns to manifest VP marketing initiatives on VP websites. ● Support VP campaigns and initiatives on their sites by developing and refining a templated UX approach to campaign landing pages. ● Optimize landing pages for campaigns via testing multiple templates/layouts. ● Execute ongoing data analysis – using Google Analytics and other tools – on key pages and templates to inform UX decisions and enhancements. ● Manage the integration and placement of advertising on VP websites so that the ads are effective while the user experience is protected. ● Develop and enhance the UX of VP Email templates as needed (190,000 active subscribers). ● Assist with the UX development of website templates for platform-specific mobile optimizations, e.g. Google AMP, FB Instant Articles, etc. Qualifications ● 3+ years of relevant Web experience ● Desired Technical Skills: Basic HTML and CSS; Adobe Suite or similar tools; Wireframing tools (Sketch or others); Google Analytics; Wordpress; Chrome Developer Tools or Firebug experience ● Pluses: Web accessibility knowledge and experience; Experience crafting and analyzing web A/B tests; Web conversion tracking experience
