DESCRIPTION: The support provided by the eCommerce Merchandise Coordinator allows the eCommerce team to focus on high level business strategies and the development of his/her team. Through this development the eCommerce Merchandise Coordinator will learn the operational side of the business, the importance of cross-functional partnerships, brand awareness, and gain assortment/merchandising skills in order to advance within his/her career. This individual contributor is responsible for executing the day to day and tactical activities required to maintain both normal website operations, as well as, web project requests as required to respond to business needs
RESPONSIBILITIES: Must possess ability to:
• Sample Gathering & Management
• Product Photoshoot Coordination
• Focus on managing product assets and set-up within a content management system (CMS) for the website
• Online Product Copywriting & Merchandising of category pages
• Competitive Patterning - Visit competitor websites to generate ideas and improvements
• Serves as liaison between merchants, international partners and eCommerce team.
• Product set up within the website.
• Proof and edit product and collection pages - verify copy accuracy, crop images and ensures that all content meets our formatting rules, copy guidelines and makes for an optimal shopping experience.
• Fix errors on the live site and makes updates based on business needs.
• Coordinates merchandise operations timelines and calendars, cross-functional communication, site quality assurance/testing, and coordination of site updates.
• Meeting Preparation
EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. 2-3 years experience with internet site production with keen understanding of what is involved with changing content on the web
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) and HTML is preferred but not required
• Ability to understand overall business objectives and make accurate, thoughtful decisions
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Effective team member (with strong team orientation)
• Proficient experience with Windows based PC environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) with strong spreadsheet capabilities
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated proactive thinker
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communication
