Web Editor (Retail Financial Services)

Our client, a leading global asset management organization, is looking for a tech savvy Web Editor to join their London team for a 6 month FTC.

Working as part of the Digital Retail EMEA team you will be required to support the ongoing development of the website, including prototyping/testing new concepts, monitoring performance metrics, prioritizing and implementing UX enhancements, integrating new content, and improving SEO.

Key responsibilities:
• Act as the custodian of the user experience and information architecture of the UK site.
• Partnership with technology teams on technical architecture and infrastructural improvements.
• Work with Marketing and Sales using data and insights to make recommendations for improvements to the websites and customer journeys
• Plan, undertake and test web changes, ensuring stakeholder/compliance approval prior to go-live
• Provide consultancy, guidance and execute on best practice e.g.: writing for the web/SEO
• Interact with external and internal groups to solve problems and manage the escalation of any issues
• Review competitive sites and make recommendations for content enhancements
• Be the guardian for brand look and feel, consistent tone of voice throughout website

Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years Product Owner experience in a Web Editor role
• Knowledge of user centered design and usability techniques is a must, as is prior experience of working in Agile/Lean environments.
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure highly desirable, as is a basic knowledge of coding practices and API protocols.
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrable data-driven approach and understanding
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital (online, mobile, social, search) and measurement

Key Skills:
• Knowledge of user centered design and UX techniques
• Understanding of both Agile and Waterfall development methods
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure highly desirable
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript highly desirable.
• Solid knowledge and experience of using of web analytics tools (e.g. Adobe Omniture, Google Analytics)
• Content Management System experience - Teamsite or similar
• Microsoft Office Suite skills
