Aquent’s downtown Los Angeles client is seeking a Web Editor for an on-site 3-month contract.

Responsibilities:
15% Works closely with Web Supervisor, business clients and IT to understand client’s business objectives and customer/system requirements.

15% Responsible for working with other Customer Communications team members, as needed, on assignments to ensure integrated communications goals are met.

10% Provides web technical consultation to clients to enable them to leverage the web in their business processes, products, and services. Provides advice on content design and presentation for the company's external web sites and common Intranet sites. Recommends strategies and supports efforts to create web applications.

20% Supports day-to-day maintenance, updating and upgrades to existing Internet, Intranet, and Extranet websites. Edits and rewrites content for clarity, accuracy and good web presentment.

10% Coordinates the design and production of website development projects including scheduling and coordination of design and development resources; collection and editing

Requirements:
3-5 years of Internet/Intranet/web design, development, and implementation experience using HTML, Dreamweaver and Content Management Systems. Broad awareness of basic Internet, Intranet, and WWW technologies. More advanced programming experience with HTML, XML, JavaScript, VBScript, Cold Fusion, ASP, JSP or PHP experience is a plus.

Skilled in web technologies (tools, system software), current web “usability” and “accessibility” best practices, and use of CSS (cascading style sheets). Knowledgeable of new directions in web architecture, language and tools.


Degrees/Certifications/License:
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, computer science, engineering or related discipline.
