We are looking for a Web Developer for a fantastic opportunity for temp-perm assignment in Nashville, TN to work in a dynamic, creative environment with one of our top financial services clients (that is based in Lansing, MI)! This individual will be responsible for the front end development of web sites and intranet refresh. He/she will use web development languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media, to design, edit, and maintain web page content, and work with others producing content.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Include:
• Analyzes user needs and existing solutions to determine technical requirements.
• Confers with management and development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria, and choose solutions.
• Constructs graphical user interfaces that effectively translate and communicate both identity and function.
• Troubleshoots, researches, identifies and corrects problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback.
• Evaluates code to ensure that it is valid, properly structured, meets company standards and is compatible with approved browsers, devices, and operating systems.
• Manages content, project work, and migrates files using a CMS.
• Provides training and support of both local and remote content contributors.
• Develops or validates test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.
• Maintains understanding of current web technologies and programming practices through continuing education, reading, or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups.

Requirements:
• Ability to hand-code HTML5/CSS3 in web pages while adhering to current W3C specifications/recommendations (no generation of code)
• Evaluates code to ensure that code is valid, properly structured, meets company standards and is compatible with approved browsers, and devices
• Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript and/or JavaScript libraries)

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 2+ years experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Clean, corporate portfolio samples
• 1 - 3 years experience working in content management systems preferred
• 1 - 3 years experience with a large website and managing templates within a CMS across many pages in an organized and logical manner preferred
