One of Aquent’s valued Energy clients, in the San Francisco Bay Area, is seeking a highly motivated and capable Web Developer, with solid development skills, to maintain and enhance their Corporate HR Intranet sites. The Web Developer must demonstrate in-depth experience with a wide range of web authoring tools and technologies, including: XHTML, DHTML, XML, CSS and Javascript, as well as have an understanding of the importance of adhering to corporate branding and coding standards for a Fortune 10 company.

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
Requires occasional off hours availability for publishing, site launches or troubleshooting. Minimal domestic travel may be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain, enhance and build Corp HR web sites, both intranet and public facing.
• Programming in XHTML, DHTML, XML, CSS, Javascript, VB.net
• Assist with project definition, scope of work and documentation. Project management of site development and launches. Ensure sites adhere to corporate branding and coding standards
• Follow standardized departmental processes
• Advise on and provide direction for future technical enhancements to HR sites/servers/technology
• Keep abreast of latest development tools and technologies and make suggestions for implementation
• Liaison with Corp & Services IT and external IT service providers for special projects
• Provide templates, advise on technology and organization's standards

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree
• Five years of experience in Web development
• Experience working with global audience and customers. Ability to work within a small group environment; excellent teamwork skills.
• Fluent in the following: HTML 4.01/XHTML 1.0, JavaScript (W3C DOM), CSS, ASP.NET Web forms, ASP.NET MVC; current W3C standards of using XHTML for structure and CSS for design.
• Knowledge of and ability to use XML (Extensible Markup Language) for defining data elements on a web page. Knowledge of and ability to develop XML Schema, define namespaces, simple and complex types, keys and key references, and to use schema to validate documents
• Knowledge of Microsoft .NET Framework (VB.NET or C#), relational databases and concepts of object-oriented programming; Visual Studio 2008 and 2010, Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 Server environment, Web content management and version control (TFS) software.
• Experience with W3C and ADA: Federal 508 accessibility standards on Web sites
• Able to identify common user experience design flaws and usability problems, and provide solutions
• Customer service orientation -- strong sense of urgency, initiative and follow-through
• Excellent research, investigative, analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with interactive agencies – providing technical specifications and manage handover and code integration process
• Experience working with Photoshop files and assets
• Ability to synthesize non-technical specifications and project descriptions into technical development specifications
• Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within server and development environments
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of coding standards and how to apply them. Demonstrates the ability to identify and solve coding deficiencies. Proactive in identifying ways to improve existing code and methods
