Our client in PLANO, TX has asked for our help in identifying a WEB DESIGNER with VIDEO PRODUCTION CHOPS for an 8 MONTH CONTRACT ENGAGEMENT.

Location- M-F normal hours in Plano, TX
Pay rate- up to $35hr
Start- asap (after f2f interview)
Duration- 8 months

Web Design: Front end (and some light backend) development skills. Focused on the look, feel, operation, and functionality of technical learning websites. Designs web page layout and online content, user interface graphics, icons, color schemes, content and infrastructure. Performs development and maintenance programming for web pages and web applications.

Performs web usability testing. Partners with team to implement pages or applications into production. Assures web server and site technical performance. This is a position requires a creative trailblazer. Some websites involve working on non-traditional servers and browsers that can be more challenging to work with.
2-4 years of Experience

Video Production:
Uses creative eye to support learning media production by others. (For example, tutor someone on framing a shot, crop/edit etc.) Edit/Produce tutorial and marketing type demos/videos for learning purposes.(Content/recorded material is provided.) Occasionally support set up of video equipment in the client's Plano Learning Media Studio. Interact with the video streaming server (Brightcove) and integrate content into web sites. A background in simple media production is desired, but professional experience is not required.
1-2 years of Experience



Key Responsibilities:
1. Work with the Media Program Manager to develop a web interfaces based on strategy for each of the Technical Learning audiences.
2. Develop the customer web pages for each of the audiences using HTML, PHP, HTML5, Javascript, jQuery and other technologies.
3. Shoot, edit and publish simple learning videos.
4. Finish video tutorials when content has been created by others.
5. Work, as needed, in a support role for Media Studio projects using Media Program equipment. This may include republishing videos that were incorrectly rendered previously.
6. Maintain streaming video website on Sharepoint.

Requirements:
1. Experience designing/developing in html5, javascript, jQuery, CSS , etc.
2. Creative familiarity with basic video development/editing/production.
3. Proficient at governance of work in progress and completion. Follow Thru on tasks and details of coding/storage, etc especially since work is collaborative (Team needs to know what each other have done to add to it, etc).
4. Ability (reputation) for problem solving out of the box technical objectives. Skill to figure things out where there is no clear cut path (For example, make a web page work or a video to show up correctly when the technology is having issues playing nicely.)
