Web Designer (Temp to Perm)

Working with general supervision, the Web Designer plays a key role in the design of new web pages and other web-based elements for online Marketing initiatives as well as corporate sites. They also design and modify consumer-targeted emails for Marketing, e-commerce, as well as other departments and related company initiatives. The principal business outcome for this position is to create quality online experiences for customers, resulting in greater consumer interest and engagement in the online/e-mail space.
• Develop and revise front-end website elements, including special feature pages and other sites.
• Design and develop flash-based web interactives, banner ads and animations for presentations, web pages and other online implementations
• Design and code digital/online consumer communications, including newsletters, targeted emails and other consumer-focused contact opportunities, utilizing design/technical best practices to ensure cross-platform and cross-client compatibility.
• Collaborate with client department partners to understand objectives, provide accurate and timely updates and deliver creative alterations.
• Support the production of additional creative needs as requested by other departments; offer design recommendations to internal customers when appropriate.
• Maintain proficient knowledge of current web technologies and design practices, staying abreast of new and burgeoning technologies and trends in the online design community.
• Collaborate with functional and creative leaders to identify and leverage design synergy between projects sponsored by brand management, merchandising, and marketing.
• Integrate business requirements into all creative elements as directed.
• Assist with additional design needs, including print and web elements.
