Our multimedia client is looking for fearless Interactive Designer that can ensure a high caliber of expertise when it comes to creating client web sites, e-newsletters and other interactive communication vehicles. This is a part time role. About 20 hours a week, on-site.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Designing and working with developers when it comes to all elements of our clients interactive presence, with an emphasis on the user experience.
• Coordinating graphic elements for KPBS.org. Ensure consistency among graphics throughout the site, including photography and enforcing online graphic standards.
• Creating graphic elements for fundraising campaigns and online promotional packages for station initiatives.
• Ensure ads from clients meet KPBS’ ad specs. When necessary, create ads for clients and donors that meet the graphic standards and marketing goals of the client. Assist in adding orders or uploading creative to ad manager. Create support materials and provide guidance on requirements and troubleshooting.



Need to know:

• Knowledge of the principles of artistic and graphic design such as the use of color, tone, composition and balance.
Strong mid-level. ***Extremely important.
• Ability to ensure that graphic standards are met despite the seniority and authority of the requestor/contributor.
• Well organized, ability to meet deadlines, detail oriented.
• Experience with the following: Photoshop and Doubleclick For Publishers. CSS, JavaScript, Flash experience is a huge plus!
