Our client, a web design shop in Boston, is currently seeking a talented web & visual designer.
This position is Temp to Perm and full time hours.

The Web Designer will both follow the creative direction of studio directors, as well as plan and generate creative ideas independently. The ideal candidate shines in collaborative settings, and can also work independently and self-motivate. The Web Designer will also be expected to support, mentor and/or direct other team members as needed, self-manage tasks & deadlines under the direction of studio directors and project manager(s), and contribute positively to a collaborative & creative working environment.

The Web Designer’s responsibilities include:
- Planning, creating, maintaining, and producing creative & strategic work, primarily web-based, for clients of the studio, as well as internal projects for the studio
- Contributing positively & constructively to all aspects of projects: research, strategy, design, development, & QA
- Actively participating in, and contributing to, both client & internal meetings
- Owning the full interactive design cycle: planning, sketching, moodboarding, wireframing, concepting & executing designs for websites & user interfaces
- Prototyping wireframes & designs for internal & client review
- Working collaboratively with front-end developers to implement and test designs
- Staying ahead of the latest design and development news, directions & developments

The person we’re looking for has:
- Experience designing beautiful, engaging and responsive user interfaces.
- Strong, persuasive verbal & written communication skills, and total comfort communicating with fellow designers, developers, project managers, studio directors and clients.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and other design and prototyping tools
- Familiarity with HTML5, CSS and other web technologies
- Understands the merits of a “mobile-first” approach, the differences between Agile & Waterfall workflows
