JOB PURPOSE: The Graphic Design’s proven creative and artistic skills will create and develop visual media in print, digital and multi-media formats. The position plays a key role in a fast-paced and proactive team devoted to enhancing and modernizing the organization’s business presence, branding, and reputation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Designs websites, sales support materials, advertising materials, direct mail, html e-mails, tradeshow materials, digital, print and multi-media campaigns under the artistic direction of the Marketing Director.
· Collaborates in the development of new projects and campaigns
· Participates actively in the department’s creative process from conception to production to delivery
· Adheres to the organization’s brand identity
· Assists with ad-hoc projects as needed

· Self-directed in the aspects of design and adept use of relevant and up to date design and marketing technology
· Showcases the ability to work on broad range of simultaneous marketing activities

· Maintains exquisite, professionally presented and designed company websites utilizing CS2, HTML/CSS, and WordPress
· Proficient skills in all programs of Adobe Creative (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Acrobat)
· Strong understanding of digital and print best practices

This position will spend approximately 75% of their time on graphic design and 25% performing various tasks in the marketing department

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Associates degree, some Certificate or equivalent experience in the related field
· Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in graphic design and marketing
· Solid understanding of graphic design, typography and composition principles
· Attention to detail while maintaining speed and sense of urgency
· Solid knowledge of full Adobe Creative Suite programs
· Expertise in Microsoft Office
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while attending to multiple deadlines
· Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate effectively in a professional business environment
· Experience designing for both print and web
· Understanding of production, pre-press, print and web-based technologies
· Understanding of current design trends and patterns
· Portfolio, digitally or in print, to showcase your best work

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in the related field with at least 3 years of verifiable experience
· Willingness and aptitude for detail work
· Intermediate to advance skills with Microsoft® Office
· Advanced skills on CS2, HTML/CSS, and WordPress
· Proficient skills in all programs of Adobe Creative (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Acrobat)
· Strong understanding of digital and print best practices
