Vitamin T is working on an exciting, full-time position for a Web Designer with one of our corporate clients located in Detroit. This position is responsible for the creation, layout, design and production of effective and persuasive marketing material, and leads the development, maintenance and optimization of business websites aligned to strategic goals. The Web Designer will be a critical member of the communications team and will interface with executive management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead creative brainstorming sessions and client discussions to establish strategies for website development and evolutions.
• Drive development, creation and optimization of business websites.
• Establish audit processes to enhance quality control.
• Build effective SEO strategies to improve web traffic and utilization.
• Utilize metrics to track traffic and performance and generate effective reporting mechanisms.
• Work with programming scripts, including XML, HTML, JavaScript and other web-related languages.
• Utilize graphic design software, create marketing collateral from concept and copy layout though the print process.
• Manage vendor relations.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in web or graphic design, computer science, marketing, communications or related field required. Combinations of relevant education, certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.

EXPERIENCE
Minimum five years experience in a web and design focused environment which provides the necessary skill, knowledge and abilities required. Experience in video production a preferred.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED
• Exceptional project management skills.
• Thorough knowledge of compatibility issues for all major browsers and devices.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and integration (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Ability to diagnose, understand and solve complex issues related to web platforms and solutions.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with responsive design frameworks.
• Knowledge of product promotion and branding.
• Ability to be highly creative, self motivated and apply concept to practice.
• Ability to effectively exchange information clearly and concisely, present ideas, report facts and other information and respond to questions as appropriate.
