Web Designer / Front End Developer - Email

The web designer / front end developer will play a pivotal role in the managing of a suite of fan transactional, relationship and marketing communications for Live Nation. The team’s goal is to inform fans of live music about the shows that match their interests, inspire them to check out new acts, and provide a rich and engaging experience related to live shows. Key areas of responsibility include managing the deployment of Live Nation email campaigns and creating visually appealing emails and email templates for various audiences. The role requires someone who is comfortable operating at a fast pace, is detail oriented and who drives for results and has a high standard for quality. A passion for ecommerce experiences and a “can do” approach are musts.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and development of all email layouts and templates, and iterate on creative to drive optimal performance
• Ensure working functionality of email templates and oversee resolution of bug repairs with internal and/or external parties
• Optimize execution of projects based on platform strengths, best practices, client objectives and deadlines provided
• Work with internal front end developer; assisting in HTML template testing and modifications, hosting images, adding functionality to templates and updating HTML code as needed.
• Function as liaison between divisions to assess project scope and delegate priorities in order to deliver special email programs in a deadline driven environment
• Oversee and manage requests from several divisions and work with internal/external partners to deliver special email programs
• Employ a consistent best-practice approach and provide expertise for creating email templates, testing methodologies and deliverability across all devices and email clients
• Oversee User Acceptance Testing of new email marketing communications internally prior to launch, overseeing beta testing and customer response, and rolling out new products
• Develop test plans and apply data-driven techniques to optimize email performance, including: A/B and multivariate testing of subject lines, message content, images, offers, etc.
• Prepare for projects using research and planning, building timelines and creative briefs when needed
• Deploy emails using the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (formerly Exact Target) email platform
Qualifications:
• Minimum mid-level experience in email marketing, email design and template development
• Understanding of fundamental email design/coding best practices
• Working knowledge of HTML programming and HTML editors
• Experience with email marketing software applications and ESPs
• Proficient using the Adobe Creativity Suite, most specifically Photoshop
• Strong visual skills in producing comps, icons, and other assets
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities to meet evolving deadlines
• Extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Experience with CSS and other responsive/mobile friendly coding a plus
• Experience with Exact Target and/or AMPscript also a plus
