Web Designer / Developer Hybrid

We're working with a global Fortune 500 company (top 30) to find a Web Designer / Developer to join their Creative Services Team for a contract assignment in Tukwila, WA.

Location: Tukwila, WA
Job Type: Contract, W2 through Aquent
Duration: 6 months w/ potential for extension
Hours: 32-40 per week

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Produce designs, prototypes, and various graphics for web and product applications
• Responsible for conversion of Photoshop design files to HTML/CSS
• Analyze technical and design challenges faced by the project team and make recommendations based on reviews and analysis of available options
• Write programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software and graphics packages to meet business requirements
• Test the website and identify any technical problems

The ideal candidate will support client’s efforts to grow its capacity and capability to create and develop front-end, client-side web applications. We are looking for talent that can demonstrate the willingness, creativity and ability to solve web design problems - specifically programmatic solutions to read, write and manipulate data and present it as an interactive web page or application. Beyond technical skills, we agree that adaptability, problem solving skills, a ‘can-do’ attitude and ability to work well with others are key personal traits.


REQUIREMENTS:
Device-agnostic, responsive, mobile-up web design using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Accessible design, Bootstrap framework, jQuery
Application development:
Near-term: front end, client-side, flat file data; Long term: tap into back-end data and systems.
Middleware programming and logic:
i.e., ASP; ColdFusion; .Net; PHP
SQL database query language
Scripting Strength; JavaScript; JSON; jQuery; XML
Flat file scripting/formatting
i.e., XML; JSON
Extensible logic and programming
User interface (UI). Intuitive interface design and execution
User experience (UX). Does it satisfy the end user’s needs and expectations in a pleasing way. Brand promise
Usability. Intuitive, easy-to-use design and functionality

HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS:
Work with cloud-based tools
Mobile tech knowledge (wearables, devices)
